The Beijing Center

Official transcripts for coursework at The Beijing Center are issued by Loyola University Chicago. Loyola does not issue transcripts to students’ home institutions after each term; rather, students make the request themselves and can request as many as needed, free of charge.

Following each academic term, The Beijing Center sends students’ courses and grades to its Chicago Office at Loyola University. Loyola enters the grades into its system. Loyola transcripts for Beijing Center coursework will show the course number, title, number of credit hours and letter grade for each course taken at The Beijing Center. All courses attempted by a student, except for those that are considered by The Beijing Center to have been officially dropped during add/drop week, will appear on students’ Loyola transcript. No courses will be omitted from the transcript.

Grades will appear for such courses as they are reported by The Beijing Center to Loyola. Loyola will not change or omit any grades or credit values. It is the decision of each student’s home university to decide whether and how credit hours and grades from the Loyola transcript will appear on the home university transcript and when that transcript can be issued. Students who want their courses at TBC to count towards their degree are strongly urged to work with their university and department to make sure that they will be credited.
