The Office
The Library of Chinese Studies houses over 18,000 books about China in English, making it the largest such collection in Beijing, and perhaps all of China. Fully wireless, the library provides an ideal setting for students to conduct research and study.

Against the far wall is the display of new acquisitions. The check-out desk is newly made but it is in the Ming style to reflect the dominant furniture style of the center. The carpet was made specifically for TBC to reflect the feminine side of the center with four phoenix, a carpet of four dragons are on the carpet at the other end symbolizing balance and harmony.
