Besides substantial holdings in English on the history of Christianity in China that are part of TBC Library’s main collection, TBC Research Center is making steady acquisitions of books and articles written in other languages. This multi-lingual collection contains rare books as well as reprints and photocopies of archival materials. Its purpose is to document not only the ups and downs of the Catholic Church in China but also the contributions of missionaries and Chinese Christians alike to China in the many fields of arts and sciences as well as to the well-being of its society and the appreciation of its culture.
