Ian Johnson is a Beijing-based author and researcher on China. He has written two books ("Wild Grass" and "A Mosque in Munich") that explore the intersection of religion and civil society, and contributes to a variety of publications and journals, including the Journal of Chinese Religion. He won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting for his coverage of China.
