Dr. Chen is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Women's Studies at the National Women's University of China and a professor at the Institute of Gender and Social Development Studies at Tianjin Normal University. She was also the Gender Advisor for the UN Development Fund for Women from 1998-2003. Professor Chen just finished a year-long Fulbright fellowship in the United States.
