The program fee is US$4,500. Any TBC alum receives a US$200 discount.
You may print out the application, complete it, and mail it to The Beijing Center’s Chicago Office at Loyola University Chicago or complete and submit it online.
Application Instructions
Please forward the following items to The Beijing Center’s Admissions Office at Loyola University Chicago:- 1. Completed application, including 1-2 page personal essay (submitted online or mailed)
- 2. Official transcript of the college the applicant presently attends. (mailed)
- 3. One Faculty Recommendation (mailed/faxed)
- 4. Dean of Students Recommendation (mailed/faxed)
- 5. Academic Dean Recommendation for Visiting Students and Academic Advisor Recommendation for Loyola Chicago Students (mailed/faxed)
- 6. Study Abroad Advisor Recommendation (mailed/faxed). Note: This is not required for Loyola University Chicago students
- 7. A nonrefundable application fee of US $ 50 in check or money order, payable to “Loyola University Chicago.”
- 8. Photocopy of the Basic Information Page of Valid Passport. Note: If you are in the process of renewing or applying for a passport, please turn in a copy of the receipt with an estimated date by which you will have it in hand.

Additional Information
- Each application item can be sent separately as long as they are all received by the deadline.
- The four recommendation letters can be sent in by the applicant or by a school official as long as they come in envelopes sealed and signed by the person filling out the form. Alternatively, they can be faxed directly by the person filling out the form.
- Applicants may begin to send in application pieces up to a year in advance of the start of the program, although we ask that transcripts and Dean Recommendations be reasonably up to date before being sent in.
- It is the responsibility of the applicants to follow up with school officials who are sending us the recommendations and transcripts to ensure that we’ll receive them on time. Applicants are encouraged to contact us at any time to check whether we’ve received their application items. We will not send reminder messages to students who have sent in partial applications. Please call 1-800-424-1505.
- Allow plenty of time for mailing application items. Express mail is strongly recommended, especially if an application item is being sent within two weeks of the application deadline.
