Dr. Nguyen has held the title of Vietnamese National Tai Chi Champion for many years. He is recognized as one of the world's best masters of tai chi. He won the bronze medal in tai chi in the 1998 Asian Games in Jakarta and won all three gold medals in tai chi at the 1999 South East Asian Games in Burma. Currently, he is the director of the Martial Arts Association of Vietnam. |

While at Beijing University of Physical Education (BUPE), Professor Hao spent two years as a Chinese roommate of US students getting to know US undergraduates and American customs. He has made major contributions in the field of Chinese martial arts (wushu) including publishing several articles and developing new, systematic ways of teaching wushu. For his efforts he was named one of the ˇ°Outstanding Youths of the Centuryˇ± by Macau TV.
