One of the first American professors for The Beijing Center for Chinese Studies (TBC), Professor Primont is a graduate of Hofstra University and Stanford Law School. As director of Cherry Lane Music, he has advised broadcasters and producers on copyright issues, published movies and books, promoted concerts with foreign performers and monitored royalty collection for foreign performers.

Scherwin, Jennifer

Professor Scherwin has worked in the film industry as a director, scriptwriter, producer, editor, script supervisor and cameraperson. She was an executive producer/creative director for Encore International's programming block on CCTV-8; a Creative Director for MTV China, and a Producer/Director for HBO. She has also written, produced, and directed documentaries aired on PBS.

 

Teng Jimeng

Professor Teng is an associate professor at Beijing Foreign Language University and was the personal assistant to the Palm d'Or winning director Chen Kaige during the shooting of Farewell My Concubine. He spent a year at New York University as a Fulbright scholar, a semester at the University of Hong Kong as a research fellow, and has lectured at Cornell University and the University of Georgia.

 
             
 

Zhang Aihua

Dr. Zhang is an associate professor in comparative studies in Sino-Western film culture at the Beijing Film Institute. She has been an adjunct professor at the department of film at Ohio University and a guest professor at the Department of New Media Arts at Harbin Institute of Technology. Her work has been recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Broadcasting, Film and Television.
